Reality check

Wix build map

You asked not to end up with a site Wix can't build. So here is every element of these mockups, mapped to the thing in classic Wix Editor that actually produces it — and, where nothing does, an honest note saying so.

The single most important fact: classic Wix Editor has no global custom-CSS panel. That's a Wix Studio feature, and you don't have Studio. On the Editor, custom CSS only reaches the page through Velo (Dev Mode) — either a Custom Element or an HTML embed. That is the ceiling everything below is measured against.

Safe · native Wix Custom · Velo / custom element Hard · not native, needs a decision

Page by page

Wix Stores ships its own Shop, Product, Cart and Checkout pages. You do not hand-build those — you configure and style them.

PageWhat builds it in WixVerdict
Home Wix sections + strips. Hero as a Custom Element (for the blobs/glass) or a static image with Wix reveal animations. Category tiles = repeater or plain image links. Featured products = Wix Stores Product Gallery, "Featured" collection. Custom
Shop Wix Stores Product Gallery. Your 5 categories = Wix Stores Collections. Filter chips, sort dropdown and paging are built in — do not rebuild them. 50 SKUs is well inside limits. Safe
Product Wix Stores Product Page — gallery, zoom, variants, quantity, add-to-cart, related products, SEO, stock. All of it is native and all of it is template-driven. Safe
Cart Wix Stores Cart (page or side-cart). Styling is limited to colours, fonts, corners. Safe
Checkout Wix-owned. You get logo, colours and fonts. You do not get layout. This is why there is no checkout mockup in this set — designing one would have been wasted work. Safe
Trade
quote request
Wix Forms. That's it. No login, no members, no B2B app, no Velo pricing. The product picker is a repeater with quantity steppers. Submissions email trade@maison.in and log to the Wix dashboard. Safe
About Plain Wix strips, columns, images, text. Reveal animations are native. Safe
Contact Wix Forms + Google Maps element. Submissions land in the Wix dashboard. Safe

Element by element — the Theme 3 look

This is where the cinematic styling meets the Editor's ceiling.

ElementHow it gets builtVerdict
Italiana + Jost Upload both as custom fonts (Settings → Custom Fonts). Needs Premium — you have it. Both are SIL OFL, so uploading is legal. Safe
Floating pill nav
shape
Native. Set the Wix header to transparent / no fill, then place a rounded container inside it with a white fill and full corner radius. It reads as a floating capsule. Safe
— its glass
blur(14px) sat(140%)
backdrop-filter can't be set on a Wix element from the Editor. Either a Custom Element, or accept a flat 55%-white fill — which honestly looks close on a light page. Custom
— moving highlight pill Wix menus support a static rounded background on the selected/hover item — that's free. The pill sliding between items is JS: Custom Element. Worth it, it's the signature detail. Custom
Ambient blobs Not a Wix concept. Two options: a Custom Element (a <canvas> or div web component) pinned behind content, or bake the blobs into a background image/video — which loses the drift but costs nothing. Custom
Glass panels
nav, hero cards, trade panel
backdrop-filter cannot be applied to a Wix element from the Editor. Achievable inside a Custom Element only. On the sections you build yourself (hero, trade, teaser) that's fine. Custom
Glass on product cards Don't. Wix Stores renders the product grid; you cannot restyle its internals without fighting it. This is also why I built the cards without backdrop-filter — 50 blurring nodes is a performance problem anyway. Accept
Headline line-by-line rise Wix has native text reveal animations (fade, slide, reveal) that get you 80% of the way. The exact masked line rise = Custom Element. Custom
Mouse parallax cards Custom Element, or drop it. Honestly: it's the first thing I'd cut. It does nothing on mobile. Custom
Gradient-clipped text Not native. Custom Element — or ship the headline as an SVG/PNG, which is what most Wix sites actually do. Custom
Scroll reveals Native Wix animations, on any element. Free. Safe
Hover zoom / lift Native Wix hover effects and Stores gallery hover settings. Safe

The B2B problem — solved by deleting it

Wix Stores has no native tiered / member-based wholesale pricing. One product, one price. That was the single biggest risk in this whole build, and the quote-request flow removes it entirely — no login, no members, no tier field, no B2B app subscription, no Velo price-rewriting (and no need to defend against a customer awarding themselves Tier 3 in the browser).

What's left is a Wix Form. Trade is now an optional service mentioned on one page, reachable from a single quiet footer link. The D2C store never mentions wholesale, which is also the right call commercially — retail customers seeing a trade discount is a reason not to buy at retail.

If volume ever justifies a real trade login, a paid B2B app from the App Market can be added later without touching anything built now.

What is definitely fine

Your Core plan covers eCommerce and payments. 50 SKUs across 5 collections is trivial for Wix Stores. Custom fonts upload cleanly. About, Contact, Shop, Product, Cart and Trade are all native. Nothing in this build threatens the ability to sell.

The honest summary: every remaining "Custom" row on this page is decoration — glass, blobs, the sliding pill, the headline reveal. If Velo ever became a problem, you could drop all of it and still have a complete, working, good-looking store. That is the position you want to be in.

The one aesthetic compromise to accept: the sections we build ourselves (hero, trade, about) can carry the full glass look via Custom Elements; the Wix Stores pages (shop grid, product, cart) will be clean and branded but not glassy. Product cards were never going to be glass anyway — 50 blurring nodes over animated blobs would crawl on a phone.
